Established in 2022 by founders Scott Symons, an Australian, and Marlayna Pincott, who is of Quinault, Yaqui, and mixed European settler descent, Hype Chocolate is all about pushing boundaries through bold collaborations and one-of-a-kind confection creations. From day one, our mission has been to celebrate diversity, culture, and community in every sense - welcoming all backgrounds, identities, and genders into our world of flavour and creativity.

Our flagship location (located at 855 E Hastings Street) was inspired by the fusion of sneaker culture and snack culture, reflected in a clean, boutique aesthetic with open spaces, polished floors, and playful, inclusive displays.
